I'm 29 Now

To celebrate my birthday this year I did a repeat of last years celebration and I will give you a repeat of last years picture because while I brought my camera, I completely forgot to use it.

Oh, but Shirley got sick and couldn't come. Sad:(
And Laura who couldn't make it last year was able to come this year. Happy:)
I sang SOOOOO many stinkers, but my Defying Gravity was completely awesome.
Sorry, I'm not even going to try being humble about that one.

Then I took a trip to Spokane, and ran this race with these girls.

Not too bad of a birthday weekend.

Scootie

Oh, Adelaide.

She is so ready to be a big kid and play like the big kids.

She was sooo happy that we actually let her outside to ride on Tillies scooter.

I guess it's just one of those mom things that you can see your kid doing something not necessarily interesting and still think it's just so darned cute.

It wasn't SO cute that she spent the entire time making this face at Jordan because he wouldn't let her ride out in the middle of the parking lot like the older kids do.

He can be so mean sometimes.

Royally Awesome.

I don't know if any of you were aware of it or not, but there was a kind of secret wedding over the weekend, a very small and intimate affair.
Well, this is the kind of thing that I just can't let pass by without watching along with the rest of the world, and my friend Salli was all over it too, so she invited me over for a royal wedding viewing and tea party.
Let me tell you what I was picturing, and what it would have looked like if I had been the one hosting:
The two of us sprawled comfortably on the couch, snacking on cream puffs and drinking tea (juice) while watching the big show (oh yeah, we watched it on Saturday afternoon, not at three a.m. friday morning- but know this, I TOTALLY would have watched it in the middle of the night, if I didn't have to run 18 miles (oh yes I did!) and then go to Eugene on Friday).
But Salli just might be a little classier than I am, because when I strolled in with my box of cream puffs, this is what I saw

Salli does not do things halfway my friends.

And as if all that DELICIOUS food wasn't enough, look what I found on my plate!

It was so silly and so much fun- two of my favorite things!

Wicked Fun

I was lucky enough to be able to head down to Eugene this weekend with LaRue and my friend Laura to go and see Wicked! I was so excited to get to take LaRue with me, we often listen to the soundtrack while driving in the car, and one of my favorite things is to hear Tillie and LaRue belting out the words to Defying Gravity with all the volume they can muster. This makes me so seriously happy.
It would have made more sense to take LaRue to a matinee, but I waited too long to pull the trigger on this one, so we ended up having to see an evening show. Even so we had a really fun, quick little trip!

We arrived in Eugene in the late afternoon and checked into our swanky digsMotel 6 yall! Jelisss?

We had just the right amount of time to change into our fancy clothes, enjoy a yummy dinner and get into our seats with only ten minutes to wait.

So excited!

And SO high up, luckily, none of our noses started bleeding, and we were able to really enjoy the show.

(Just in case anyone is feeling bad for Matilda for not getting to come, I will tell you that she and daddy are going on a special date to the movies this weekend.)

LaRue really had a good time, she was so excited to see the play, and she LOVED staying overnight. When we got to our room she kept saying "I LOVE it here! I never want to leave!"
She said the same thing when we stopped at Dennys for breakfast on Saturday before heading home. Fun weekend!
