I "coached" LaRues soccer team this season because with about a week and a half until the first game, we got about three emails telling us who would be on our team, but that we still didn't have a coach, so I went ahead and volunteered.
I HATED it at first, the kids were great, it was just my Social Anxiety Disorder, but it didn't end up being as horrific as I had thought it would be. We had a couple of dads on the team who really stepped up and ran the practices and the games with (and sometimes instead of) me, and I ended up feeling like we hit a comfortable balance with the families who stuck it out (we did lose two players a couple of weeks in, oops.)
But I'm still really glad it's over, and to celebrate, here are approximately 100 pictures from yesterday:
Ruesie during her last game, she scored a goal earlier in the season, yay!
LaRue was so happy to get her medal.
Isn't she just the prettiest little thing?
Even Adelaide had a little fun!
Tillie in action!
She shoots, she scores!
Just kidding, this was during the pre-game warm up.
She did get a goal earlier this season though.

That's okay though, we're just there to have some fun!
Let's pay close attention to Matildas arms in the next three pictures, shall we?

I had suspected as much, she wasn't so much running and playing soccer, as she was galloping and pretending to ride.
It wasn't all that helpful to the rest of the team, but I think she had a good time.
Kicking off.
Getting her trophy from her coach.
Everybody is.
The End.
The End.

Good job girls! Good job Mom! Hopefully everyone had fun and you didn't have drama queen parents on the side lines! lol :o)
You are such a good Mom! That is a gorgeous picture of LaRue with her medal! Soccer and 4 year olds is always a good time. I love that Matilda and her horse riding arms. Sage spent way more time watching her feet run "so fast" than she did actually watching the soccer ball. It makes for an amusing time :).
